Just look up

I think people are scared of the unknown.

We are constantly fuelled by the routine of life to get us through the day,

and make it through the week,

that even the habits that are harmful feel comforting.

Because what if I get out of this loop,

what will happen,

what will be on the other side if I make a change.

It’s the unknown that kills us.

Slowly but surely,

poking, prying, and shoving usdeeper and deeper into a hole we call routine,

making it harder and harder to get out.

And nobody is coming to get you ,

no one is peaking over the edge with a rope ready to pull you up,

because guess what,

they are all in their own hole.

You have to find the strength within yourself

and use it.

The hardest part is realizing how deep the hole is that you are in,

and what is pushing you deeper down,

learning to fight back and eventually getting out.

Once you are out there is nothing to be scared of,

the worst thing is looking down at the hole you called home your whole life

and finally seeing the nails and shards of glass you were standing on the whole time,

cutting into you worth.

So look up, and get out.
