Just An Application

For the past 8 months, I have simply been a set of numbers on an application;

4.1 Weighted GPA

3.9 Unweighted GPA

ACT Score: 31

SAT Score: 1630

Class Rank: 81 out of 403

18 years of age

90 hours of community service

62 college credit hours

But I am not these numbers:

I am a human being,

With feelings and a personality

And an all too familiar sense of being lost in a sea of numbers

These numbers do not represent who I am;

Merely what I have done.

You cannot put a value to me,

Based on the numbers that somehow determine my future in this life.

I am more than the sum of these numbers:

I DEFINE WHAT THESE NUMBERS ARE BASED ON MY ACTIONS.

So when you judge me,

Don't just judge me based on these numbers.

Judge me on the amount of

Effort

Hard Work

Determination

Perserverance

That I have put forth for these numbers.

Because these numbers DO NOT DEFINE ME.

Rather, I DEFINE THESE NUMBERS
