Just another late night

The broken glass
glistens like fallen stars in the night.
The blueish gray glare of the computer
tinges my face the hue of one a thousand websites,
and as I press the power button
that relinquishes the heartbeat of the deskbound
entity
while simultaneously restoring my skin
to it's original
brown-sugar state,
my alarm clock sounds.
Waking me from my trance.
