I'm having a baby

These words are often misconceived

Happiness, sorrow, wonderment, bewilderment

All of these things run through a child's mind

As the months drag on thoughts invade you

Ideas of playing with your new sibling

Of teaching them grand things

Forming bonds that only brothers and sisters can have

And when the baby is born that is exactly what you get

Love, Laughter, an overbearing need to protect this new baby

But what happens when all of it is snatched away

Your new baby brother becomes distant

He has full blown tantrums

Randomly chosen

Fears many different things

Loses his cool and just breaks down

Is years behind where everyone else is

You don't understand

Where did your baby brother go

Who is this person in front of you

Why does he no longer retain your teachings

Why does he not want to be close to you anymore

Why is he always angry and frustrated

Autism

Your baby brother, your adorable lovable brother

Has succumbed to Autism

Now the only question left

How do i help
