Ephesians 5:31 New King James Version (NKJV)

31 “For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”

 Joined Selfish and unselfish

walking hand in hand.

Joined together by the God of Love

Who did not prevent it?

Brick by brick the wall goes up

to capture the unselfish

until it only sees the sky

where the environment seems empty.

I am unselfish it screams

as its voice bounces of the wall.

“I want to give and I want to share,”

seems like paper thrown on a highway.

As it gets caught in a fence

flapping in the wind.

Useless and an eye-sore

like the song: “I had it my way”.

Opposites marry each other

and that seems rather strange.

Oh! You know that they attract

but why should that be?

Unless deep inside they are the same

but somehow it never surfaced

for a character-trade goes to the bone

and that we all can see.
