Jacqueline

When all you wanted

Was to live in your cottage

He took you on a ship

And set sail to claim

A mighty kingdom

So together you both ruled

King and Queen

They've decorated you

With vines to match your crown

But little do they know,

How much you drown

You wave in your carriages

But you're really desiring

To wave goodbye and go home

The the cottage you had once known

That had been raided by wealth

When he wanted to be King

You preferred to live as a peasant

But the castle you live in

Has now become another cottage

But no fireplace in sight

To keep warmth

They paint your portraits

And with your sense of fashion

They desire to recreate your portrait

But they don't seem to understand

How tightening is the corset

Which you are forced to wear

Then his mind buzzed

A new idea was formed

He wanted to claim a new territory

He said, "To the moon

We shall go!"

He'll go to the moon and back

Just for you

But, let's be honest here:

Wouldn't it be much better

For you to just go back?

Then a bullet was launched

Into outer space

And made a moon landing

On his skyrocketting head

And you try to bring him

Back to Earth

But by then, he has

Been too far gone into

Outer space, and now

He permanently claims

The moon as his kingdom

So now you're stuck on Earth

You've been dethroned

Your portraits have been burned

And you've finally gotten what you

Wanted, but at what cost, Jackie?

Jacqueline.

What cost?
