Is It Reall Fun?

Location

Phones have taken over society more than they need to,

due to their simple and faster ways of getting things done.

While it does have many wild apps, kind of like a zoo,

I wonder, as I watch people all day, is it really fun?

Looking like zombies on their devices, with no expression on their face,

isn't what I want to see in people, whether I know them or not.

They need more interactive experiences, but in each case,

they may not want it, only searching for a location that is hot.

Interacting is the answer, by yourself and not with your phone.

People would appreciate life more, not glued to their screens,

not looking and shopping for that next great tone,

not taking selfies or filming endless pointless scenes.

Talking face to face, improving communications skills,

expanding horizons away from the crutch of a device,

away from a gaming world too, where you rack up your kills,

toward simple talking, wouldn’t that be nice.

We need to meet our friends, not Facebook, but face our friends,

and have a laugh of two, talk about life, have a place for passion,

even writing a letter could join the hot trends.

If we can leave technology, take a break from its interaction,

not forever, but sometimes, then maybe, just maybe, I say,

perhaps we can all see the world in a little better way.
