The Interrupting Bell

I close my eyes

Breathe deeply

Feel the breeze wisping through my hair

I turn and see you beside me

Just sitting there.

The sun is setting

The temperature is cozy

The waves are swaying into our mid shin

We relax and laugh all carefree

No matter the messes our lives might be in.

Smile to a smirk

I blink and when I open them again

The bell for school has rung this periods end

I turn to my things and go

I walk through the halls and try to blend.

Only to return to my dream of our meet

Where I have you at my side and the waves at my feet

The wind brushing my hair into wild tangles

The bell keeps ringing but my dream still dangles.
