Inside the Mind of a Lonely Poet

Location

The streets, they change, in times after the rain. The puddles mirror reflections misalignedAs crowds of passerby look on in vain.  And dangling laces may trail behind. While water penetrates a tired pairRetired thoughts resurface in the mind. Crowds of passerby find the time to stare. The homeless start to look like those once knownAnd beg on hands and knees for time to spare. Although the same-old sights become outgrownIt’s known by those who now cannot explainAnd walked by those who wish to be alone. Today my shoes came loose; I can’t complainThe streets, they change, in times after the rain.
