Inside the Classroom

Tue, 10/01/2013 - 12:16 -- Damsel

Location

These students are sitting up too straightly,

We must bend them

Break their backs

Twist spines

Remember, this is a slaughterhouse

And it is easier to kill the crippled

It is safer to trial the mutes,

Strip voices

Muffle individuality

Choke the sound

Remember, this is a silent museum

Do not touch the displays

This is Nagasaki before impact

Muted warnings from Hiroshima

This is a different Auschwitz

This is the Birkenau for our youth

This is destruction of the mind, Manōnāśa

This is poison for the brain, Neurotoxin

This is the fall of education, Somalia

This is a manipulated generation, America

Remember,

These lessons are prerecorded

This onslaught preordained
