Innocence

Location

A Dark Thing lurks

As thousands of children

Are born into this place

A Dark Thing watches

As the children grow older

And quietly learn about the world's cruelty

The Dark Things rears

As the teenagers learn, and lust, and love

Watching and wanting the Thing

The Dark Thing  consumes

As the people grow older

Blindly wallowing about the Thing that they took so readily in youth

But,

The Thought of the Dark Thing lingers

As the lsot memories of innocent children

Cry in the windows of our darkened world

Residing in the dreams that makeup that last place

Of Innocence
