Inner

I'm screaming in here--within walls of flesh--within imperfection--

                                                                 drowning in self-imposed perfect standards.

I tore my wings to shreds, and now the feathers are scattered

and my back is breaking as I reach down in attempt to pick them back up--

because all I've ever wanted is to fly free,

and the only thing in my way is

                                       me.
