Injustice

The wheelbarrow fits nearly all their belongings

As they walk down dirt roads to their new home.

Nothing more than wooden stakes and a tarp,

But at least they can call it their own.

I see injustice every day.

He fixes the road to gain very little,

The kids say, “Mommy he looks a little funny.”

His handicap leaves him without coordination.

He is defenseless when thieves take his money.

I see injustice every day!

On her way to final rehearsal,

They jump in her cab and pull out a gun.

She hands over her phone, violin, and cards.

They take her valuables and then run.

I see injustice every day!!

A young man lays dead on the road,

Head smashed, bloody, brain scattered.

They hit his motorcycle and drove over him,

But to them, his death did not matter.

I see injustice every day!!!

Surrounded by the darkness of life,

Difficulty strikes when I try to show love.

But the giver of hope and everything good,

Comes from my great God above.

He restores and provides shelter.

He sculpts each human beautifully.

He comforts those who have lost much.

And gives new life to those who plead.

He frees injustice every day!!!!
