Sparks pulse blue, red, and gold

Showering down upon gaping children

Standing on the brim of a stone bridge

Overlooking a calm dark coursing current below

I smile through the loud blasts

While my eyes turn purple, green, and yellow

Mesmerized by vibrant sparks

Cheering and gawking while merrily clapping

Crowds from near and far

Gather all around under the same blanket of stars

To admire

To wish

For one more glitter

For one more spark

For one more reason

To be dazzled and thankful in the embrace of the dark
