Impossible Girl

She was

A girl with eyes

Which painted clearer skies

Wished the world- if only she’d fly.

She was

A teen whose big dreams

Moved the Man to its knees

Cooed the world- if only she’d lead.

She was

So high up

By the time they caught up

They’d heard of her ninety times.

She was

Needlessly tough,

Dignified

Clever enough;

Imperfections she knew how to hide.

She is

Pretty and

Purposed and

Really deserves it-

Everything that she’s striving to.

She is

Quick and

Concerted and

If the money was worth it-

The world would ask for two.

If only

Luck and

Fairness skirted and

Fate so perverted

Could allow her to be happy too.
