Imperfect Glory

Mon, 05/01/2017 - 16:06 -- J'vaun

Red, White, and Blue,

give us the strength to stay prideful and true.

We claim to be correct and almighty,

but there's many imperfections waiting to be written or filmed by someone like Spike Lee.

How can we progress if there are so many obsticles that make us stress.

Protruding dilemmas make me think of my country less.

Ongoing conflicts should be put to rest,

answers unsure like those on a vigorous test.

Constant pains inflicted as we grew,

some say we're on top, but in my eyes we're number 2.

So give me the strength to stay prideful and true,

Red, White, and Blue.
