Ecclesiastes 5:16-17

16 And this, too, is a very serious problem.

People leave this world no better off than when they came.

All their hard work is for nothing—like working for the wind.

17 Throughout their lives, they live under a cloud—

frustrated, discouraged, and angry.

Me … and you?

To understand the friction, that carves into the mind.

The struggle for position in the attention band of time.

To sift though all the matters, that encounter you in life.

To know the issues facing you, are bringing just more strife.

Day after day you're absorbing conflicting ideas of sorts.

To understand your interpretations are falling so short.

Your lack of comprehension of the simplest ways to dare

within your self-vagueness of truth will bring despair.

What is the contradiction that drives and orders me about?

It is not just part of me … with its dominating clout.

It feeds itself on pity and discontentment is its lot,

so that the purpose of the truth in me becomes a foggy clod.

My mind screams or sighs and shows me that all is clear.

It deceives itself not knowing … "self destruct" is near.

It accepts all things,  but only by its very own perception.

then like the worldly wise lays a foundation of deception.

I guess I'm the first to fall for my mind's interpretation.

Showing my humanity in existence's solemn degradation.

Is it too late to change somehow being caught in my frustration?

Or do I need a good night’s rest to reach for Christ's expectation?
