I'm (not) okay...

From the day I met you,

You were the light of my day

even if we have just met minutes ago.

I can't shake these honest feelings about you

and I know for sure that you won't return them too.

It's okay...

I'm used to it..

The color of your aura,

the shine in your teeth,

the way you laugh,

and the way you present yourself

means so much to me.

But still, I can't be yours.

It's okay...

I'll get used to it..

Right?

Wrong!

It broke me apart after the countless confessions.

The hints I dropped from time to time.

The awkward tensions and situations silencing the air.

But then you smiled even after those excrutiating attempts.

It's been a while since I've seen that dashing smile of yours.

It's okay...

I'm okay...

You left with them.

Left me in the dark.

I'll rise up soon but not now.

For that I know if I did so, you'd get displeased.

But after attempts, I came to realize that there are more to learn.

I've learned to stand up on my own two feet.

I've learned not to wear my heart on my sleeves.

Also, not to cling onto the same thought

for it may hurt and scar me for a long period of time.

It's okay.

I can do this.

And so can you.
