I'M NOT AFRAID ANYMORE

It took me awhile to go through change. It took me a minute to get through the pain. I use to think it was impossible, until I looked down at broken chains. I made do for myself, I knew I could do it. I got tired of the world telling me I couldn't. The world will say no, when God says yes. The world will lie, while faith leads to success. The world will blind you with despise, and try to control your life. Confuse your soul to believe that wrong is right. I've learned to listen to what your heart says, and fight back or you'll be considered dead. If you let this world control you, how do you know you're looking at the real you? Being you is what you're supposed to do, being a fool is what the world wants from you. It's easy to follow the crowd, but it's hard to stand out. It's easier to follow a path, rather than create your own. It's easy to live in another man's reflection. Rather than look at your own. The world is filled with so much butter, and not enough stone. Just eyes of lust, blood of cold. Deaf ears, lost souls. It doesn't take much to run off the road. I'm more concerned of what will happen if I don't. I'm not running, nor am I hiding. I'm not afraid anymore.
