I'm No Good

I see you standing there

Where the lights are dim

I was told you were hers

I was told not to stare

It was no good

I found it to be unfair

I found it to be grimm

She had the one thing I want

And I didn’t want to share

It was no good

She should be aware

I knew my chances were slim

She has no clue

She should say a little prayer

It was no good

I make my way up the stairs

You follow on a whim

My eyes glaze over you

I have to act as if I don’t care

It was no good

Lace draped over the chair

For you, she was too prim

A room full of rapture

In the bedroom there is an affair

It’s no good

She should be aware

I knew my chances were slim

She has no clue

She should say a little prayer

It was no good

Her heart is in a tear

In her tears she swims

She should have been around

She should have been aware

I’m not good
