I'M BLACK AND I'M PROUD

Our darkened skin this phase which is the most prime phase will never end

love your skin God created you in, with all that melanin we will never become

evanescent

Colonizers kicked up dust they had no love for us, split us up and even

got rid of some of us

Our negro ancestors rised up we went from picking cotton to spreading knowledge

The odds are still against us we'reblack and we're proud! we've been silent long enough

Thank you Dr.King for having a dream thank you Ms.Horne for being a black thorne

and giving my young sisters some inspiration and a voice your words will never be

scorned

Black minds are a force to be reckoned with the oppressors can't handle it they fear it

that's why cops shoot it, judges sentence it

I got love for all my black sisters and brother for we 're all we got.
