Ignorance

Ignorance is bliss they say,

Then why does it lead to so much hurt and pain

If you do not know what goes on in the real world,

What is the point in worrying, or even caring

Why not be vainglorious

When the mind is clouded,

There is no need to worry about starvation and suffering

 Beyond the realms of our current knowledge

People are also ignorant, when it comes to the impact of their words

A simple compliment has the power to turn someone’s day around

An insult can make a dent in someone’s self esteem

Enough of them can lead someone to self-loathing and maybe even suicide

That is why you think before you say

And if you can use words to brighten someone’s day
