If there is a God,

If there is a God, He must be cruel

For if He was knowing,

And if He was mighty,

For what other reason,

Would there be such tragedy?

Such plagues of Wicked Problems?

If there is a God, He must be ignorant

For if He was mighty,

And if He was good,

He must be blind to the Great Suffering,

Of His so-called 'Children'

Far, far down on Earth

If there is a God, He must be weak

For if He is good,

And if He is knowing,

He must be powerless,

So small in the swelling number

Of misfortunes spanning the globe

And what is a God?

Who is cruel?

Who is ignorant?

Who is weak?

That is no God--

Those of the faults of Humanity

An amolgomation of the worst of us

A false Idol

Worship instead belief that Humanity is capable,

Of being what God cannot be--

Good

Knowing

Mighty
