If Shadows Could Write Diaries

Location

If shadows could write diaries,
and Mirrors were the pen,
Imagine the stories that would flow?

A young girl alone in the dark
Distraught, Secluded, Grieving
In an instant, her father, her hero stolen

If shadows could write diaries
three years would pass with silence
As she spirals beyond control

At 15, the shadows are her only friend
They hide her scars, the Captain Morgan
Her release from mourning

If shadows could write diaries
Inspiration would strike, Fog lifts
She fights to regain her footing

The darkness of teen years have passed
The light on the horizon brings hope
In the eyes of her daughter

If shadows could write diaries…
Beauty crafted from Pain
The Sun begins to Rise
