If only he knew

Black male , late at night, tall and wearing a hooddy, who could this be, a robber or a killer, or even a victim of being killed or robbed, if only he knew that being black and walking late at night was a crime, oh wait! it isn't, if only he knew that a cell phone appeared to look like a gun, oh wait it doesn't, no matter the race, or the choice of clothing, should you be judged so harshly to the point of possibly loosing your life, if only he knew, is racism the reason or just ignorance of a man who could not understand that all black young men are not as bad as they seem, if only he knew, ignorance, racism what ever it may be, we will never know the end to this unfinished story, an the begin to that young mans life has come to a end, his dreams destroyed, and his future untold, the thoughts of his loved ones, IF ONLY HE KNEW
