If I Were A Tree

If I were a tree,

I’d be a scrawny little thing,

And ugly,

And scarred,

And unliked.

If I were a tree,

I'd be overlooked,

And unwanted,

And bare,

And quite lame.

But if I were a tree,

I'd be left alone,

And there I’d grow,

Until I was beautiful,

And strong,

And tall,

And liked and loved by all.
