If I Tread This Road Alone...

If I tread this road alone,

at least I lived this life as my own

No master puppeteer to pull my strings

no interest in materialistic things

Dream of a midnight blade

with a black rose intertwined

Dream of the ascent to heaven,

along with allies of darkness by your side

Life is a blank canvas

and I paint the story,

None of society's influences,

for that mortifys me very

"Believe in the heart and soul," a familiar voice says,

"For it is the trusted guide,"

As I walk in the rain with my loyal companion

leaving the corrupted land behind
