If I Stay

If I stay another day,

And search with all my might

Will I find what makes me complete?

After every failure wears on my mind,

Blinding my path to the future

And after being surrounded people who didn’t seem to care

As they pass, day-by-day, with every reason to live

If I stay another day,

Will I see what they see?

Will I greet a bright, new sunrise?

With a new reason to wake up every morning?

Will I see what potential I have in this world?

Or if I stay, will I see

The monster that I’ve made myself out to be?
