If I love you like this

If I love you like this, China, my Chinese-cheeked eye, they will hang me.

You will see a lighthouse go out, you will see ships closed to their ports,

ports filled with fog. If they knew that I loved you like this,

I would miss home China , My Chinese-cheeked lover, they would hang me.

First they make me get used to your absence,

then they tell me about your absence to my beautiful helplessness,

until my lips crack because of thirst,

they string me up at half past four in the morning and kill me.

You see a star falling towards China.
