If I

James 2:8-9

If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

If I

If I am a snow white dove … is it always hunting season?

If I am white as snow … will tar be swung my way?

If I am pure as can be … is that enough reason

for satan to get on my case and to do that every day?

If I fill my life with yesterdays … won’t I face reality?

If I build a house of dreams … can I pass by today?

If I escape from self … could I ever be a fatality

in the race for success … as someone else must pay?

Can I live your life for you … to fulfill my selfishness?

Can I take your place … when I don’t know where I belong?

Can I throw on you … my levels of helplessness

dancing to the music … of someone else’s song?
