If All the World's a Stage, I'll Manage

If all the world's a stage

in the theatre I play the creator

not in any way mysteriously

but through grueling work

that aches my back and callouses my hands

as I create a world of art

piece by piece painting scenes

bringing to life the playwrites fantasies

and framing them to give to all.

If all the world's a stage

in the theatre I am the sun

stars

moon

lighting the scene delicately

in a perfect constellation.

I am the wind

birds

ocean

composing the sounds articulately

in a melodic array.

To stage manage is to create a mosaic

of the minds of the director

playwrite

designers

forming a meticulous work of art

to give to the world

a frame reflecting itself.

If all the world's a stage

in the theatre I'm the worlds tool to create a work of art in efforts to reflect and better understand itself-

to better understand ourselves
