I Wish This Could Happen More

Salty Cape Cod air

Blowing through my lengthy brunette hair

On the balcony of Jack´s

Our salt watered swimsuits sticking to our backs

Finishing our pre-meal prayer

My face feels the sun's glare

This moment feels rare

As a family together at Jack´s

Eating our appetizing snacks

Waiting for our flavorus feasts

I wish this day could happen more

          The others cannot compare

         For friendship is important

But these feelings I seem to share

With these I have no fallbacks

As we feast here at Jack´s

The longing away from them I can't bare

I wish this day could happen more
