I Want My Daughter
I want my daughter to know that I love her.
I want her to know that there is a world waiting for her.
I want my babygirl to understand that I support her with any choice she makes.
That I am here with my arms open when she cries she can run to me and hold
me tight as she the tears she sheds fall on my shirt.
I want my little princess to understand the difference between right and wrong,
good and bad, followers and leader.
I want my sweetheart to know that I will be by her side for birth, birthday,
christmas, and every holiday and special occassion.
I am her mother and she is my daughter we are one but we never see eye to eye.
Im the parent, the adult, the guardian. I keep her safe and secure.
I want my daughter to see the world than just the inside of her room and school
walls.
I want my baby to know that dreams can become possibilities.
I want her to know that stars can be wished on and that being human is normal.
I want her to know that God is our savior and he heals you from your pain
and sadness. Your mama will always be here in sprirt and reality.
I want her to tell me about her crushes and when she feels low because
shes not I want to brighten the dark days. Let the mornings be fresh from yesterday
problems.
I want her first date to be rememebered I want that first christmas for her to be
special her little fingers trying to grasp the sugar cookie tree.
I want my daughter to have a life of love and peace.
I want my daughter to know that education is key that you can go to any college
you want.
I want her to know that life has choices that everything happens for a reason
that some people can hurt and some can love you. I want her to be her own person
climb the mountains of staying above the influence.
I want my daughter to always know that I will be here and I will never let go but
I want her to understand that when she loves herself she will shine.
