I Think We Should Change That

Location

We live in a man's world.

A world that teaches girls

To be sexy.

The trend is thin.

Short dresses.

Tan legs.

Big breasts.

Objectified.

I think we should change that.

We live in a twisted world.

A world that teaches girls

To be careful,

Don't go home with strangers.

Watch your drink at parties.

Don't let him talk to you like that!

You deserve better!

He hit you?

I think we should change that.

We live in an unequal world.

A world that teaches girls

Not to be yelled at.

Not to be hit.

Not to be touched.

Not to be raped.

Not to become victims.

I think we should change that.

We live in a world teaching the wrong lesson.

A world that should be teaching men

Look at her soul, not her body.

She is a person too.

Respect her, not just because she a a woman.

Respect her because she is a human being.

You yelled at her?

You hit her?

You touched her?

You raped her?

Don't become a monster.

You should never treat someone that way.

I think we should change that.
