I See The Screen

Location

When I was young I could see everything

It surprises me how my life has changed

As a kid who could once see the screen

I’ve become blind to see what’s written on it

.

.

.

I see the letters on the screen

They make me want to run and scream

Deep inside I feel the pain

But nobody ever sees what is really me

I see the words on the screen

I close my eyes, but I know they are there

These letters try to decide my life

The words think they can create my path

I see the sentences on the screen

Even though nobody else does

These letters make words and words make sentences

But I refuse to let any of them make me

.

.

.

I’ve made my life by the actions I have made

The sentences I have said can show one thing

But the movements that I make can tell a story

The life I have created is for me to live in
