As I See Orange....

I notice attempts to fulfill those needs

Of protecting kids with safety measures.

Back then, the only concerns were nosebleeds.

Why must I still see these tear-stained pictures,

And how these victims are only fakers?

Because everyone has to give lectures.

Everyone's got answers for lawmakers

And the question for Uncle Sam’s deceased:

Who’s the gatekeeper of the peacemakers?

As for me, I choose to enjoy this peace,

Not the one you fill, but the one you feel.

No man or woman knows when it will cease.

So before it becomes a time to heal,

I'll enjoy the momentary silence.
