"I" second ...

1 Peter 4:6

Now it was for this very purpose that the gospel was preached to those

who are now dead, so that though they were judged in the flesh by human standards

they may live spiritually by God’s standards.

I  … Second

Do I dwell in the success of others

or in their developed mind?

Am I part of the truth in others?

Are we so much intertwined?

If some are loving … some indifferent,

some unhappy and some in need

There goes hunger … grief and illness

is that part of me indeed?

Lost in alcohol, dope and confusion

Murder and lies are a way of life

Stealing, greed and sexual intrusion

Envy, hate, anger and strife

Am I such in that all what happens?

A part of me that is reaching out

Mostly death as my flesh is mapping

depravity and satan's clout

When Christ called: "Lazarus come forth"

What smell did “Laza” leave behind?

When he calls the "disabled" from birth forth

they are a sweet fragrance to my friend?

As I travel on life's pathway

what fragrance do I leave behind?

"Charity starts at home?" No way!!!

For "Charity" starts with God in mind

As the Lord saves His children

Do they leave death's smell behind?

Or does that smell too long linger

as the children keep the world in mind?
