I Remember Watching the Snow

Sun, 10/06/2013 - 23:33 -- JPB

A cold, dark winter morn' I remember waking up to the frizzing of my feet which hung outside my blanket.
It was a slow creeping cold similar to the creeping of shadows as the sun moves across the sky,
But this cold was deeper, colder.
As I lifted up my head my eyes crossed over the window for a second.
Then is when I saw it.

White

It was snow.
A wonderland of pure white joy.
I remember seeing the snow gathering outside on the grass and tree.
So sweet, so nice,
Suddenly I was a child again.
Angels and men of snow.
Winter once dark now light.
Such a beautiful, beautiful sight.

Oh my delight when I saw that snow,
I remember it all so clearly.
Oh how I wish I could go,
To warm you in my arms for I care so dearly.
