I remember

Back in them good ol´ days

Before we had to worry about school and grades

My friends turned me into a mermaid.

With a rip and a tear, a splish and a splash

My legs were tapped together and it was a blast.

But mother called saying she be home in a flash

And if the house a mess I end up in a cast.

There was an avocado smashed on the floor

We shot it into the hoop behind the door

The situation was heating, it was mucho calor.

I could only think of my mother's scream

As she would walk in and see i ate all the ice-cream.

My only hope was if this was all a dream

Or if the situation wasn't as bad as it seemed.

I was already in trouble for fighting over soap

And tackling my sister off the side of a boat.

This was it, if i got caught i wouldn’t be able to cope.

As the cleaning began the twins got in a fight.

It came to an end with on simple bite

The problem was solved, all was alright

Besides the issue the house was a mess and it had become night.

¨DING DONG¨ rang the bell to the house

The room so silent you could hear a mouse

That's when I realized i was the real louse.

My mother's voice went up in a raise

And i could imagine seeing jesus and his sun rays.

As today marked the end of the good ol’ days

But at least I don't have to worry about getting them good grades.
