Look at now what we’ve become

Look at our hard work’s outcome

From young couple learning love

To familiar strangers, reminiscent of. 

Our early times full of joy

Time spent we would much enjoy

Til heartbreak came hard and cruel

Made me feel just like a fool

The following times were rough

Trying to be friends was tough

I cared for you very much

But lips again we’d never touch

Leaving your life now has been scary

But moving on is necessary

Knowing that I have a plan

To wake up some day as a better man

So I pray for pain to numb
