I Learned

Wed, 09/02/2015 - 22:20 -- JalaB

I learned that no one.

No one.

Will tend to

Wounds.

Rips.

Tears.

Those marks are all imminent.

As you blossom and grow,

More smile lines will adorn your facade.

But at the same time.

More tear stains will grace the presence of your pillow.

It felt like...

The earth.

Had rolled down the incline of my spine.

As words fro mthe outside jostled me to my core.

I learned that history repeats itself

But.

Only if you let it.

As the past becomes present.

It's easier to keep a cycle going than to just end it.

I learned that feelings lead you a lot farther than thoughts ever would.

Two roads diverge deep in the woods.

Did you take the one less traveled by?

Life is like a word

The longer you try to make sense of it.

The less real it seems....
