I Know You Love Me

The creases in your smile,

And the way your hair flicks at the ends,

The way you speak,

The things you say,

Constantly keeping me in awe.

Spontaneous,

Joyful,

And just down right amazing;

All of the ways you disguise your true self,

Using these tactics to hide your true intentions,

Constantly pulling this string

That I so desperately try to hold on to,

But somehow my grip is never quite strong enough.

When I tumble and fall,

You never look back,

Constantly pushing me to my limits.

Because, “boys are mean when they like you”,

And I must say, you are the meanest boy I’ve ever met.

Giving me scars of love,

Bruises of admiration,

And hits of affection

Blood splattered on the tile,

Holes in the walls

And screaming galore.

All because of me,

Because you love me,

I know you do,

And I love you.
