I Know

When I see your faces and look around

You asking to be heard but people choosing to hear no sound

I watch you all in this special class I signed up for not knowing you would open this beautiful door

Your eyes are broken but you see so much

Your ears are silent but you still feel touch

Your feet don’t walk but you run toward living

Your thoughts are quiet but never stop giving

You are different because of how you were born or maybe a moment that left you torn

But you are still one of us and you inspire me

No matter what others may choose to see
