I Have Strength

I have strength,

But I am looked at as weak,

Why?

Because I am a girl, a female, a woman,

But does being this label define me?

No,

For I am strong,

No man or woman can tell me otherwise,

I am proud to be strong,

I am proud of the muscles I have built,

Why should I not be?

They are mine and I fought for them,

But still I am labeled,

Not as weak,

But as a “try-hard” or a “tomboy”,

I have been told, men will never love me,

Because they will feel threatened,

But those words are not true,

And they should not be feared,

They should not stop you,

Be who you are meant to be,

Not who the world wants you to be,

Be strong,

And never give up
