I Have Made My Decision(I Am Right.)

And I have been here before.

And I have done this before.

And I can tell you,

This is right.

This place may not be home today,

but tomorrow. . .

this city might just teach you what you've always wanted to know,

Here the cars honk all through the night and the lights gleam like an endless sunset,

there you may here a dog bark from the complete nothingness of night,

and you wonder am I right?

Coffee stains. There are coffee stains everywhere,

because I cannot stay up all night,

but I must,

because that is how life is here.

Is this right?

"You weren't born there" they tell you,

"You will not make it"

"You are alone"

"You are alone"

"Come home" . . .

But I have made my decision.

I have my family though it is not you,

I made this one,

we found one another,

I made this home,

though it is small,

it is mine,

And today I am here.

And I am right.

In rushing traffic and sidewalk shoulder brushes,

From coffee spills to coffee stains,

When it's dark outside but everyone is still awake,

know that this is right.
