I finished another story again
I finished another story again
And now it’s silent, 2 AM
Underneath and all around the house is prone to bump and creek
It’s amazing how five people sound when they’re all fast asleep
How is it so, that I can go, and be among a crowd of friends
And get home late, unable to concentrate, and be lonelier in the end
At the fair the county’s buzzing
People fly and lights are left fuzzing
In and out of my train of thoughts, it’s hard to pay attention
It’s amazing how the details clot, waiting for retention
Why do I try, to find the guys, who haunt the air around my screen
When in my mind, I’m left behind, and scream to myself, “you’re seventeen!”
