I don’t watch Horror Films
Death has been made up to be this symbol of horror and terror.
We watch Movies about people being slaughtered and massacred
We listen to the Songs that deliver clever rhymes about being slayed
What is it that we find in death to be so profitable.
When it comes to life, our lives, when someone dies it isn’t clever, or, terrifying,
We don’t sing along to the tempo
We don’t pay money to witness the event
We find ourselves far from the comfort of our minds
We see ourselves from the glances that people give to us
We Don’t hear words
We don’t listen for what’s next
We find an indescribable uncomfortable feeling in the pit of or bodies that we never explore
So I don’t watch horror films
Because when I do I see myself in the film and I see my family die,
I feel the grief
I feel the Twisting of my intestines as I get sick
I see my memories like a projection on the walls in front of me through misty windows
So I don’t watch horror Films…besides the Blair Witch Project because that shit is so fake that I only feel pity for the actors names in the credits.
