I Don't Want
I don't want my father to become a hashtag
I don't want my brother to become a movement
I don't want my mother to become an instagram post
I don't want the fake cries of emotionless masses
pouring their beautifully written apologies online.
I don't want to be fearfull of my everyday life.
I don't want to be scared for my life when we are pulled over.
I don't want to feel like I'm living in a circle of excuses
and apologies
and hashtags
and lies.
Lies that tell me everything will get better with time
I want Justice
