I Do Not Like to Think About Death

I do not like to think about death
For death is not meant for man
Or to ponder what happens
Shortly after
When all ties between Body
Mind and Soul are severed
And Body and Mind dissolves
Into nothingness
While Soul remains forever.
I would rather like to think
That this present moment
where my Mom's friend
Is driving me through the
Chilled, blackened air
Would cover infinitely
long intervals of time like
Space
Because of the bliss I feel.
