I Do

Location

I traverse these halls and walk these streets
And yet I walk alone
I comfort strangers and help others in defeat
Yet my feelings are unknown

I speak the truth but see the lies
That no one else sees
I have responsibility and duty of size
That no one else believes

I walk in the shadows of a blessed teen
And yet I feel worn and poor
I can speak only of what I have seen
And yet I have seen beyond the door

The door that shuts people away
People like them and people like they
It has no locks, it’s not barred in any way,
and yet it keeps you and your mind locked away.
